Effect of powder lubrication on wear characteristics of silicon nitride during sliding at high temperature

Abstract In order to improve the tribological characteristics of Si 3 N 4 friction pairs at high temperature, graphite powder, h-BN powder and MoS 2 with excellent lubricating properties were added between pairs. The wear experiments different adding stages (initial stage stable stage) temperature gradients (25 °C, 100 200 300 400 °C) carried out on tester. After experiment, worn surface was observed by SEM ultra-depth microscope, before after analyzed XRD. Combined coefficient recorded during reduction mechanism lubrication under conditions summarized. results show that three kinds all have best effect initial addition. With increase film-forming ability decreases, is little affected. Therefore, key form a dense, not easily damaged film friction. How more how performance will become next research focus.
